A little different :)

I have an amazing friend who is the theater teacher at Bonneville High School. They always produce fabulous theater productions every year and right now they are doing Aida. My friend came to me a month or so ago and hired me to design a few headdresses for the princess in the show, Amneris. The style was rock and Egyptian mixed. This is what I came up with!

I'd love to do something like this again! If anyone knows of someone who needs a designer or is interested in my stuff, please let me know. Prices will be negotiated based on their desires and budget.

Something Creative

One of the many classes that I am taking this semester at Weber State University is Stage Costume. It is taught by the amazing Catherine Zublin (probably the most talented costume designer I have ever met) and is turning out to be a ton of fun! We had a wonderful lesson on being creative this week (which I will be posting notes about because there is just too much goodness not to share) and for today's class we were asked to write a paper about something that we do that is creative. I decided to write about my little headband business-thing, Forget Me Knot. If you would like to read this paper (if you are wanting to learn more or get a better idea about what it is I am creating, then I would suggest you do) you can read it by clicking here.

And Again!

So the same sweet girl from the last post bought another headband from me! And she also ordered a couple that she will be receiving this week! I'm super excited that she loves them so much! Here are some pictures of the latest headband bought by the beautiful Mallary!

Happy Customer :)

love seeing people happy with the products they buy! This is Mallary Madsen and she is FREAKING ADORABLE! This is her wearing one of the headbands she purchased from me a week or so ago. She took these pictures herself! Now that is talent.

Little Gifties!

I just finished up a show I was in and for a closing night gift for my girls that did the show with me I made some headbands out of the same fabric as their dresses! It was way fun and the director even let us wear them during the show! It was super fun.

A Satisfied Customer!

There are few things I love more than having someone love something I have created. It just feels good inside. Ya know? That warm fuzzy feeling? It's super nice. Try it sometime!

Also, this girl is super sweet and super fun! Check out her blog here!

Gift Basket

I was asked on Sunday if I would donate a gift basket to an organization who is doing a silent auction for charity! I am pretty excited to help out. Not only is it a good way to get my name out there, I am helping contribute to a good cause!

Here is the gift basket that I made! (after I took this I wrapped it in cellophane)

The gift basket includes:
  • One Large Necklace
  • Three Headbands
  • Two Barrettes
  • Two Clips
  • Two Broaches
This basket was donated, and others can be likewise donated. These are also for available for purchase for $70.00.

Little Sis

This is my gorgeous sister. She is such a sweetheart. We were on a family vacation and my mom wanted to take her out to take pictures by this old barn close to where we were staying. I had a couple clips and a headband (not my best works, but a nice touch none the less) that my mom decided to throw on her. The pictures turned out really well!

So It Begins!

I have been making headbands for my sisters and friends for a while now and was told I should sell them. So I tried it out and to my surprise they have been selling fairly well. I am excited to be starting this blog so that people can see what it is I am creating and can purchase them if they would like.
